Hello!

Thanks for visiting my website. I'm focusing on the blog now, while Allison and I gear up for our trip to Asia later this year. My published writing is also archived here, as well as travel photography from previous trips I've taken.

Running inside for milk

Running inside for milk

I almost didn't manage to snap a new picture or put it online today, but on the way back from the movies (we saw "The Revenant" and laughed as Leo spent a night cozying up inside the disemboweled corpse of a horse he had ridden off the side of a cliff whilst under heavy bow-and-arrow fire from some Injuns), Allison and I stopped at the 7-Eleven to get milk—after separate stops for olive oil and wine (Trader Joe's was literally out of milk due to the blizzard a few days ago, which put its Pennsylvania distribution out of commission, and it also doesn't sell wine because of the absurd NY state liquor laws, which are among the most restrictive in the country). I stayed in the car and took surreptitious shots of the exterior of the building through Jolene's windshield with my digital camera (since I still don't have a smartphone), which made me feel like a creep or a spy, or both. I hoped no one was looking.
